Kit Includes:
- Gold-Zinc Coated or Powder-Coated Subframe (White or Black)
- SLG/Gforce custom axles with ABS tone rings
- Fully rebuilt Ford 8.8 differential with new Ford Performance gears and carbon clutch LSD
- 3.5" aluminum driveshaft for any engine/transmission combo
Requirements: 330 or M3 trailing arms. Some minor clearancing of the upper control arm may be needed to accommodate the larger CV joints. An M3-style sway bar is compatible with this subframe.
About the Kit:
This conversion uses a 2006–2010 Ford Explorer/Mountaineer IRS 8.8" differential, renowned for its lightweight design and ahead-of-its-time engineering. Weighing about 15 lbs less than the iron BMW M differentials, the Ford 8.8 is also celebrated for its vast aftermarket parts availability. Unlike the limited options for BMW differentials, a wide selection of gears, limited-slip carriers, and rebuild kits can be easily sourced from major retailers. It’s the most popular differential for swaps, and for good reason.
Subframe: The subframe is laser-cut, TIG-welded, and built like a piece of art. Proudly made in the USA, it was designed using CAD software to achieve a precise fit with both the chassis and differential. The subframe retains the OEM positions for all suspension pick-up points, allowing you to use any E46 subframe bushings. We recommend Revshift Poly bushings. The diff acts as a stressed member, utilizing the strength of the large cast aluminum Ford 8.8 case.
Axles: To ensure the power makes it to the ground, this kit includes an axle package built to withstand extreme forces. We developed billet steel, heat-treated, and e-coated outer stubs to replace the weaker M3/330 units. Our custom-designed ABS trigger wheels ensure everything operates like factory, while upgraded 108mm CV joints deliver superior strength and reliability. Additionally, the kit includes a billet inner stub that fits perfectly into any 31-spline Ford 8.8 differential.
Outlaw Upgrade: For those seeking even greater performance, the Outlaw Upgrade delivers the ultimate in axle strength. These units feature upgraded alloy billet internals, with each CV joint receiving an isotropic surface finish for a mirror-like polish. This surface treatment drastically reduces friction, heat, and premature wear, while improving grease migration for smoother joint operation. Each Outlaw axle is also equipped with premium ARP fasteners, ensuring the industry’s strongest axle assembly.
Exotic Stub Upgrade: For the most demanding setups, our Exotic Stub Upgrade takes strength to the next level. These new outer stubs, made from a material even stronger than the standard 300M alloy, are designed to handle the immense shock loads encountered during aggressive launches. With this upgrade, you can push your car to its limits without worrying about failure, even in the most extreme conditions.
