Wiring - Made Simple

Turbolamik's universal wiring harnesses make for a simplified installation process! CAN wiring harness details shown to the left.

  • Simple Setup: Connect as few as five wires, and you're ready to roll!

  • Visual Ques: No need to miscount pins, this harness comes color coded

  • Intuitive Paddle Inputs: Designed to function as digital inputs, activating when the switch touches the ground.

  • Straightforward Brake Signal: Easily tap into your existing brake light wiring for a 12V signal and get improved drivability.

About

The Turbolamik controller is a fully standalone transmission management system for the ZF 8HP line of transmissions. It is designed to be tuned for performance exactly as you like by bypassing the limitations of the original TCU. By rerouting every sensor and solenoid wire inside the transmission directly to the Turbolamik controller, it completely removes the stock TCU from the system, allowing for full customization and control.

The Turbolamik team has been involved in motorsports since 2006 and was created through genuine passion of engineering and motorsport. Their team is based in Poland and is still adding capabilities and integrations to their ecosystem through supporting groundbreaking builds across the globe. The Turbolamik itself is built in Europe to make sure hardware quality and robustness are a priority. â€‹

Because the transmission controller is in direct control, it was one of the first to enable advanced features such as trans-brake for launches, and "virtual clutch" for drifting and burnouts. With this controller you have full control over pressures and can hold the maximum power possible.

To enable this functionality, the TCU must be opened to install a custom PCB board that bypasses the original TCU, then sealed in epoxy and safeguarded with our gold anodized billet cover for protection and good looks.

The system is universal and can work on almost any car, even if it doesn't have CAN, though using a modern ECU with CAN is still recommended. Many CAN presets are available to make communication and factory transmission emulation simple to set up. Harnesses for CAN (e.g. OEM or standalone ECUs), or Analog (e.g. Carbureted engines or an ECU without CAN) are available to make integration seamless and economical.  â€‹
